our first fire!!!!!

we finally made a fire in our house! (when i say "we".. i mean "he")

It was so exciting.

I hadn't had a real crackling fire in a house for years. At my parents you just flip a switch...it's still pretty awesome but not as cool as a homemade one! Thank goodness for husbands. He made the fire and then we drank hot cocoa and played games. so much fun. I dont know how often we will be able to make them though :( The house smelled like it went on a camping trip afterwards.

oh yeah, I thought i'd post a photo of our tree too! yay for Christmas!

taste testing

you know those little buckets with every one's business cards in them?

they say if you want to win something then put your card in..but you usually never hear back.

My Mom put my Dad's card in the other day and they actually called!!! They won an All you can eat taste tester dinner for 8 people! so exciting! Noodles is one of my absolute favorite places to begin with! I go there VERY often and I introduced it to my whole family... SO i was thrilled. way to go mom. So, last night we went (they actually let 9 1/2 of us come :D). They brought us just about everything on the menu and as much of it as we could eat! They brought us random dishes and let us request whatever we wanted, we even got to take the extras home to eat later!

I must say, my favorite dish is still Pesto Cavatappi..nothing can top that craving for me.

By the end, ALL of us were stuffed the BRIM, even the babies!

Carlie even said, "I am so stuffed I might die...or explode...but then if i exploded i would probably die after." haha

I would recommend Noodles and Company to anyone!

I've never had a bad experience there, they are so good to their customers!

a lot is new..

WE ARE HOME OWNERS!!!! woohoo!

When we got back to Utah we decided to invest in duplex in the lovely town of Provo.

After a lot of looking, waiting for this approval and that approval and a lot of staying with wonderful family...we finally got the house in mid October.

We moved in the day we closed and signed the papers!

I love our little home. It was built in 1923 and has a lot of character.

I am proud to say I am living in my dream home, i have always wanted to live in a little old home with big "mature" trees. we live in the upstairs and rent out the basement. we have done a lot of painting and stuff in the inside and its finally starting to seam like ours! I'll post photos soon. believe it or not we still have a lot of unpacking and organizing to do but it will be done by christmas! yay!

meanwhile, I am going to massage school FULL time! I started in the middle of October and I will graduate in May! I cannot wait. I have been thinking about doing this for a few years now and finally the timing could not be more right. I have a very supportive family and husband, which makes a world of difference.

I made a goal to blog more! yay!!!?

its been awhile...AGAIN.

Life has been crazy busy. When this happens its hard not to eventually freak out. well..that happened. So, this past week- I made a decision. I am going to be very consciously positive and think about happy grateful thoughts all day, everyday. Chances are- I will need several remindings from my lovely husband and those around me ;) So there you have it. You're probably wondering how my Blog got pushed into this? To be honest, I dont know if i can make a connection. BUT this is my journal, and from now on I will use it more. To blog about the little happy things in life and maybe the not so happy things in life. its happens, lets me honest. so here goes!!! :D

a little get away

Chris and I went to park city to watch conference. 

It was the snuggiest weekend!

We had our own hotel and my parents and little sisters were at another. 

Later in the week we came up by our selves and stayed in the cute hotel on main street.

I had been craving park city all summer so I am very glad we finally got the chance to go! 

It was VERY cold and so relaxing to sit around, ride the trolly, walk around main street and see the cute cute shops and homes, go hot tubbing, and watch movies.

 It was some much needed quality time together away from the stresses of real life.

Hillary went to her first formal dance!!

She went to homecoming with a boy up the street and had a very fun time!

Its crazy she is turning 17 in a couple months!

My best frister (friend that should my sister) had a baby!!!!!!!!!

she is so so beautiful. 

I cannot believe that we are old enough to be married, let alone make babies. 

We have come such a far way together and now are lives are so crazy.

 I wish that i saw her way more than i do. 

I am so proud of her for bringing in such a beautiful girl into this world 

and being such a wonderful mother.

sometimes there's just nothing to blog about.

We got back from Texas in the first of September. I could not wait to get back because (among other reasons) we had tickets to one of my most favorite musicians EVER!! -Dave Matthews Band WITH my bestest friends!- nick and niki and christy and james whom i hadn't seen

 ALL SUMMER. 

it was going to be the best day ever. .......

until, the day of- we find out he cancelled, AGAIN! 

(last summer when we had tickets he cancelled!! lame! 

at least it was because one of the band members died. sad time.) 

this time, apparently he had a sore throat. soooo...he still is an AMAZING artist and even better live but he must not care too much about his little Utah fans. so, maybe we just wont care about him all that much next time.

moving on! 

 

My awesome big sister and bro-in-law (lynds and ken) let chris and i stay with them in their basement for about a month! they are so wonderful and kind to us and they have THE cutest girls in the world whom i am probably TOO obsessed with. 

(Lily and "B". we had to lay Lily flat on the table to try to wake her up so she wont starve)

It was so much fun staying with them. kuzko and "B" became best friends very quickly. she even learned how to let him out of his crate with out any help!

 she is a Houdini baby for sure.

It came time to move on...only because we were sick of living out of black garbage bags...so we moved up to my parents for a few weeks while still waiting for our house to close. I love living with my Mom! (who wouldn't? she an amazing cook.) Although very great, we are SO ANXIOUS to get our own place which we are all crossing our fingers happens in the next few days. Cannot wait! 

I'll keep ya posted...of course...because it'll be the best day ever!

i am going to miss knocking on the wall and getting a friendly response

car and brett and chris and I have been sharing an apartment wall this past month in Amarillo. 

whenever we are bored in the kitchen or taking a shower in the bathroom..or just any old time we feel like it..we give a hard bang on the wall. either some crazy knocks or a little tune. 

i listen and wait for the response or.. the end of my song. 

it is quite entertaining. 

I also have to walk by their bedroom window to get to my door..so if i find it necessary..i give a little knockity knock..only because i know they are in there watching TV or playing XBOX 

because there is absolutely nothing better to do in Amarillo, Texas. 

there are a few things i will miss..

but i am more than ready to head on back to UTAH!..this weekend!!

when he was born he was black and grey but his baby hair gradually grew out and brown hair grew in!! i cant wait for his fur to get thick for winter!....i CAN wait for winter though....he'll be so cute in the snow!

I just took a trip to Utah to see my family!!
